This study aims to understand students' understanding of science concepts between students using the 7E Learning Cycle model and students using conventional learning. This study used a quasi-experimental research design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The subjects of the population in this study were students of class IV SD Negeri Sangiang by taking a sample of two classes of 60 students, namely class IV B which was considered 30 students as the experimental class and class IV A which was called 30 students as the control class. The data analysis technique used an instrument of concept comprehension test in the form of multiple choices consisting of 20 valid and reliable questions. For this pretest hypothesis using SPSS 22, in this study the t test was used, from the test results obtained the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.378> 0.05, it can be ignored that there is no significant difference between the pretest mean value between the experimental class and the control class. Meanwhile, for the posttest hypothesis testing, the sig value is obtained from the test results. (2-tailed) of 0.001 <0.05, it can be denied that there is a significant difference between the mean posttest scores between the experimental class and the control class. This means that understanding the concept using the 7E Learning Cycle model is higher using conventional learning methods.
