Abstract

In the teaching and learning process of Islamic religious education teachers are very instrumental in terms of student success, therefore Islamic religious education teachers must know what steps are taken first to deal with students in the teaching and learning process. The teacher can use a variety of motivations so that students can actively study. Student learning motivation can be divided into two forms, namely intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. This research is a type of qualitative research using historical and philosophical approaches and deductive, comparative and descriptive inductive data analysis methods. The results of motivation play an important role in learning. With this motivation students become diligent in the learning process, and with that motivation also the quality of student learning outcomes is also likely to be realized. Students who in the learning process have a strong and clear motivation will surely persevere and succeed in learning.
