This study aims to analyze the learning of slow learners and determine the causes of slow learners in children with special needs in class IV B SD Negeri Jelambar 01 West Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative case study approach with data collection methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that there are two slow learners in class IV B SD Negeri Jelambar 01 West Jakarta. The two slow learners in learning activities often lag behind their friends, always get scores below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), more passive, more sensitive, less focused, often play alone when the teacher explains the material, and have difficulty memorizing and understanding. . This is because cognitive slow learners are limited, so that every time they work on the questions given by the teacher, the answers do not match the questions and are filled out as best they can. The school does not yet provide a special assistant teacher (GPK) to help students with special needs, so that the teacher handles it from their respective class teachers. This makes it difficult for teachers, because they do not only focus on students with special needs but also regular students. Several factors caused the three students to be slow to learn in class IV B, namely factors before birth, factors during the birth process, due to mismatches in school characteristics that made them not perform optimally academically.
