Abstract
This study aims to determine the competence of teachers in Gondrong 7 Elementary School. As well as to find out what are the weaknesses and strengths of teacher competencies at the Elementary School. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the analysis of this study note that the teacher's competency needs are very important to teach lessons in class. If a teacher does not have competence, the learning process will not be conducive, because the teacher is an intermediary between learning and students. Furthermore, the teacher also acts as a parent in the school, so the teacher will be the only person trusted by students in the school so that students have the will to study harder.
