Abstract
This research aims to analyze increasing understanding of the Islamic religion through a community-based teaching program in Sekaroh Village, Jerowaru District. This program involves the active participation of village residents in religious teaching activities, utilizing a community-based approach that brings learning closer to the needs of local communities. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The research results show that the community-based teaching program in Sekaroh Village has succeeded in increasing understanding of Islam among the community. This program not only teaches theoretical aspects of religion, but also integrates local social and cultural values ββin an Islamic context, which makes it more relevant and easy to understand for participants. In addition, this program strengthens social relations between village residents and creates a conducive environment for the development of spirituality.
