Strategi Guru PAI dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Public Speaking pada Peserta Didik melalui Praktek Pidato Agama di SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur
Abstract
Speech activities are very important for students from the elementary school level, which aims to train by developing students' mentality in public speaking. This study aims to find out how the strategies of PAI teachers in improving public speaking skills in students through the practice of religious speeches at SD Negeri 28 Freshwater Timur. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants from this study were the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, homeroom teachers of grades IV, V and VI and two grade IV students, three grade V students, two grade VI students at SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur. The results of the study found that there are several strategies for implementing PAI teacher strategies in public speaking for students through visual, vocal, and verbal aspects. In the visual aspect, teachers practice the appropriateness of body language and facial expressions so that the message is conveyed more strongly and attracts the attention of the audience. In the vocal aspect, teachers teach intonation, speed, and articulation with direct examples, so that students can set their voices clearly and dynamically when speaking. In the verbal aspect, teachers focus on sentence structure, language style, and pronunciation exercises so that the delivery is more effective and understood by the audience. This strategy helps increase students' confidence in public speaking.
