Abstract
This study aims to develop a cooperative-based Student Worksheet designed to enhance students’ creative thinking skills in chemistry learning. The research was motivated by the urgent need for instructional tools that promote critical, flexible, and innovative thinking in line with the demands of 21st-century education. A development research model was employed, involving expert validation, readability testing, practicality testing, and effectiveness trials with students. Data were collected through validation questionnaires, observation sheets, creative thinking skill tests, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and gain scores to evaluate learning improvement. The findings indicate that the cooperative-based Student Worksheet achieved very high validity, with an average score of 91.20%. Readability testing reached 87%, and practicality scored 90.3%, confirming its feasibility for classroom implementation. Its effectiveness was reflected in the increase of students’ average creative thinking skills from 62.35 to 81.72, with a gain score of 0.65 (moderate–high category). The most significant improvement was observed in elaboration and flexibility indicators. These results demonstrate that the cooperative-based Student Worksheet is not only valid and practical but also effective in fostering students’ creative thinking skills. The study implies that such learning materials can serve as a strategic alternative for chemistry teachers to create collaborative, creative, and future-oriented learning environments.
