Abstract
This research aims to see the effect of students' place of origin on GPA (cumulative achievement index. This research uses quantitative descriptive and ANOVA tests to determine the effect of using inferential statistics with one-way ANOVA analysis. The sample is students from the Chemistry Education study program, FKIP, Mataram University. Data was collected using a Google Form to fill out a questionnaire about where students live and their latest GPA. The research results show that students from villages have an average GPA of 3.062 and students from cities have an average GPA of 3.032. The results of the one-way Anova test, the sig value of 0.046 is less than 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, indicating that there is an influence of place of origin on the GPA of students in the Chemistry Education Study Program, FKIP, Mataram University.
