Abstract

This study, entitled The Effect of Parental Education Level on Science Learning Achievement at SDN 1 Batu Nampar Selatan Academic Year 2022/2023, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parents' educational level on student achievement. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research, in which the researcher tries to present an overview of the influence of parents' educational level on student achievement using the sampling method. In the technique of applying the sample using random sampling. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from questionnaires and observations, while secondary data was obtained from documentation of students' report cards. The data analysis tool in this study uses instrument reliability using the Alpha formula and hypothesis testing using product moment correlation. The calculation results show that the effect of parents' education level has a positive and significant relationship with student achievement (rxy = 0.39, tcount = 5 .2904 > ttable = 2.0537) with a significant level of 5%.
