Abstract

The community participates in cooperatives in Selebung Village, Keruak District. The purpose of this Community Service is to find out how the community participates in cooperatives in Selebung Village. The target of this service is the women of the Selebung Village. The result of this research is to increase the knowledge of the village community about cooperatives. The method used is in the form of delivering material about cooperatives. The conclusion of this service is that the participants do not understand what a cooperative is and the benefits of a cooperative. Participants also do not know how to establish a cooperative, especially a savings and loan cooperative and become a member of a cooperative. Participants were very enthusiastic and asked many questions about how to set up a cooperative, whether the cooperative was different from the arisan they did, what were the benefits of being a member of the cooperative, how much money they had to set aside each month for the cooperative and how to distribute the remaining business results (SHU) .
