Makna Literasi Digital terhadap Kemandirian Belajar Mahasiswa Pascapandemi: Studi Fenomenologi di STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok Nusa Tenggara Barat

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the integration of digital literacy into higher education. However, post-pandemic challenges remain in ensuring students’ independent learning through digital platforms. This study aims to explore the meaning of digital literacy for students’ learning autonomy in the post-pandemic context. Using a phenomenological qualitative design, the research involved 12 students of STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis with Colaizzi’s approach. Findings indicate three main themes: (1) digital literacy as a learning enabler, (2) challenges in maintaining discipline and self-regulation, and (3) the transformative role of digital platforms in shaping students’ learning independence. The study concludes that digital literacy not only enhances access to information but also strengthens self-directed learning skills when supported by motivation and institutional guidance. These findings highlight the importance of integrating digital literacy into pedagogical strategies to improve students’ independent learning post-pandemic.
