Peningkatan Karakter Religius Siswa SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang pada Kegiatan Keagamaan melalui Metode Pembiasaan

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement of religious character among students at SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang through religious activities using the habituation method, to explain how religious activities are implemented using the habituation method in enhancing stundents religious character at SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang, to identify the efforts made to improve students religious character at SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang through religious activities with the habituation method, and to outline the supporting and inhibiting factors in the improvement of student religious character at SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang through religious activities using the habituation method. The data source was taken through purposive sampling technique. Nine informants were selected, one school principal, two religious activity facilitators, and six student from SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang. All intervies results were analyzed sustematically through four analytical steps (data collections, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing). Overall, the results of the research are First, regarding the implementation of religious activities using the habituation method to improve the student religious character at SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang, there are four religious activities through the habituation method (i) muhadarah, (ii) dhuha prayer (iii) zuhr prayer, and (iv) Islamic holiday commemoration. The characters enhanced through these religious activities include (i) obedience to Allah SWT (ii) tolerance, (iii) honesty, (iv) self-confidence, (v) enthusiasm, (vi) discipline, (vii) encouraging others to do good, and (viii) responsibility. Second regarding the efforts to improve the religious character of the students at SDN 12 Kampung Lapai Padang through religious activities using the habituation method, the efforts include: (i) the habituation method, (ii) motivation, and (iii) role modeling. Third, the supporting factors for the improvement of students' religious character in religious activities through the habituation method are: (i) support from the school, and (ii) support from parents. The inhibiting factors include: (i) lack of self-awareness and laziness, (ii) insufficient supervision by teachers, (iii) too short a duration for activities, and (iv) lack of attention from parents.
