Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher's communication ability as an interaction tool between teachers and students, which is the teacher's task in delivering learning materials to students through communication interaction in the teaching and learning process carried out. The purpose of this study is to find out how teachers' communication skills affect the learning outcomes of grade VIII students at SMPN 10 Padang. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with the type of research used in field surveys. The sampling technique in this study uses a saturated sample technique with a sample of 94 students in this study. The data collection techniques in this study use observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded from the teacher's communication ability Based on a partial hypothesis test (t-test) showing that the teacher's communication variable has a positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of SMPN 10.
