Abstract
The contextual teaching and learning (CTL) learning approach is a learning concept that helps teachers link the material taught with students' real-world situations and encourages students to make connections between the knowledge they have and its application in their lives as family and community members. With this concept, learning outcomes are expected to be more meaningful for students. The learning process takes place naturally in the form of student work and experience activities, not transferring knowledge from teacher to student. A learning strategy is far more important than a result. The aim of this school action research (PTS) is to determine the extent to which the principal's coaching improves teachers' abilities in implementing the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) learning model in Mathematics lessons. In this school action research (PTS) carried out in 2 cycles, the results of the actions taken were proven to improve teacher performance by achieving ideal standards. From 33.33% in cycle I, it can increase to 100% in cycle II. The results of this action research show that coaching principals can improve teachers' ability to develop contextual teaching and learning (CTL) in Mathematics lessons with completion reaching 100%.
