Strategi Sekolah Dalam Mencegah Perilaku Bullying

Abstract

Bullying behavior among teenagers is a serious issue that continues to increase, KPAI data shows that Indonesia has an increase in bullying every year. In SMAN 11 Padang, although there have been prevention efforts such as installing anti-bullying posters, bullying cases still occur, although in numbers that are considered minimal. This study aims to determine what strategies are carried out by schools in preventing bullying behavior in SMAN 11 Padang and to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing strategies carried out by schools in preventing bullying behavior in SMAN 11 Padang. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of research data were taken from thirteen informants including the principal, student representatives, 2 BK teachers, PAI teachers, 3 homeroom teachers and 5 students of SMAN 11 Padang. The results of the study show that: 1) The school's strategy in preventing bullying behavior is through advice, tausiyah and punishment methods, BK Services, Counseling and Socialization, AKU BISA and P5 Programs, Formation of anti-bullying teams, Posters. 2) Supporting factors in implementing school strategies in preventing bullying behavior are: A sense of family, Firm school policies, School community cooperation, and Implementation of positive moral values. While the inhibiting factors are Family, Peers, and Social Environment.
