Abstract

The use of visual media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an important role, especially for students with behavioral disorders, because it can facilitate learning and make learning more interesting. In SLB Prayuwana Yogyakarta, visual media such as pictures, videos, and props effectively support the communicative and adaptive learning process according to the needs of students. This research explores the strategy of using visual media in PAI learning, focusing on increasing understanding, interest, and teacher- student interaction. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, data collected through observation, interviews with teachers and learners, and documentation. The data collected from observations, interviews, and documentation will be analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model which consists of four stages: 1) Data Collection, 2) Data Reduction, 3) Data Display, and 4) Verification. The findings show that visual media help learners with behavioral disorders to understand learning materials better, increase enthusiasm for learning, and foster stronger communication with teachers. However, the challenges faced are limited resources and the need to adapt the media to each learner's ability.
