Upaya Meningkatan Kompetensi Guru melalui Supervisi Akademik di SMPN 1 Wanasaba

Abstract

This type of research is school action research (PTS) where the targets are teachers who have teaching duties at the school. The aim of this school action research (PTS) is to find out the extent to which supervision carried out by the school principal followed by providing guidance/treatment to target teachers can increase the teacher's competency in carrying out the learning process. In this school action research (PTS) carried out in 2 cycles, the results of the actions taken were proven to increase teacher competency by achieving ideal standards. In cycle I, the increase in teacher competence in preparing learning administration reached around 33.33%, in cycle II it could increase to 100%. The average score obtained after class supervision in cycle I was 71.33 and increased in cycle II to 83.33, meaning there was an increase of 12 and the level of group/classical completion in cycle I reached 33.33% and in cycle II increases to 100%. The results of this school action research show that coaching principals can increase teacher competence in implementing the learning process.
