Abstract

This research aims to develop and implement a fun science learning method on the topic of ecosystems for fifth grade students at SDN 060857 Medan Tembung Sub-district. Effective and fun science learning is expected to increase students' understanding and interest in ecosystem material, which is part of the basic education curriculum. The results showed that fun and interactive learning methods can increase students' motivation, strengthen their understanding of ecosystem concepts. Thus, ecosystem-based science learning not only enriches students' knowledge, but also improves social skills and critical thinking ability.  In addition, students feel more happy and excited in participating in science learning, which in turn encourages them to care more about the surrounding environment. Thus, ecosystem-based science learning not only enriches students' knowledge, but also develops social skills, and concern for environmental issues. This research contributes to designing more innovative, fun, and contextualized science learning methods to be implemented in elementary schools.
