STRATEGI KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU DI SD TAHFIDZUL QURAN DARUL WAFA MATARAM

Abstract
The principal is the person responsible for education management which is directly related to the learning process. Basically school management is the responsibility of the principal and teacher. However, the ability of the principal to lead the school system greatly influences the implementation of good management. Principal leadership can create working conditions and human relations that are harmonious and conducive. This study aims to describe the principal's strategy in improving teacher performance at SD Tahfidzul Quran Darul Wafa Mataram. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, namely information in the form of letters not numbers. The informants in this study are the Principal, Educators/Teachers. The key informant in this research is the school principal because every day he is directly involved with the activities of teaching staff in the learning process at SD Tahfidzul Quran Darul Wafa Mataram. Data collection techniques are using interview / interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The research results show that; The principal's strategy in improving teacher performance is good because of the 8 indicators there are 6 indicators that have been implemented and 2 indicators that have not been implemented, while the indicators are: Providing motivation for work enthusiasm, fostering discipline, providing consultations, giving awards, conducting class visits, demonstrating good attitude and exemplary behavior, building active, creative work, developing the teaching profession. Meanwhile, teacher performance has been quite good, because of the 6 indicators there are 4 indicators that have been implemented and 2 indicators that have not been implemented optimally. The indicators are: Developing lesson plans, managing learning activities, establishing interpersonal relationships, conducting assessments, following up on assessment results, mastering academic studies.
