Abstract

This study aims to reveal the history of the education of children with special needs towards inclusiveness. Education is a basic need for every human being, including children with special needsĀ  who have limitations in carrying out their activities. In this study, the authors use the Library Research method, which is to collect data or scientific papers that aim at the object of research. Inclusive education is an alternative education for children with special needs who experience physical limitations but can still follow the material taught in public schools. Many of those who attend public schools are able to follow the lessons and even be able to beat children who grow up with intact physique from the material that is tested on them. By joining them in public schools, it provides an opportunity for them to be able to socialize with children who grow normally to help the emotional development of these children so that they do not become inferior children, and even consider themselves to be the same as other children. This is what underlies inclusive education to be held.
