Eksistensi Bahasa Walikan sebagai Simbol Komunikasi Pada “Gen Z” di Kota Malang
Abstract
The walikan language used by the people of Malang City as a means of daily communication still exists today. The youth of Malang City are proud and highly respect the walikan language because this walikan language shows their identity as citizens of Malang and is a form of intimacy between communities. in the midst of the weakening of various local languages in Indonesia which were eroded by incoming foreign languages, but this walikan language still survives and continues to exist. Love for the local language needs to be nurtured so that it is maintained and sustainable as shown by the people of Malang City where they continue to maintain and preserve the local language.
