Abstract

Transformational leadership is a leadership pattern that is believed to be able to harmonize a new mindset. With the transformative leadership, it is hoped that it will help principals to improve quality schools. The purpose of this study is to determine the concept of transformational leadership at SDIT Taruna Al-Qur'an. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research, the type of research is case studies, data collection techniques in this study are structured interviews and data analysis techniques used are Miles and Huberman model field data analysis. During the process of undergoing transformational leadership, the principal of SDIT Taruna Al-Qur'an encountered several challenges. Becoming a school principal requires a sense of optimism and is always enthusiastic in carrying out daily activities inside and outside the school in order to be an example for everyone, especially school residents. With transformational leadership, school principals are able to improve a quality school environment.
