Abstract

In educational instructional activities, with the aim of elementary school students in learning is to achieve goals and shape the character of students. Therefore, learning has a positive impact in improving the quality of life. In andragogy, learning is not just a transfer of knowledge but also must be able to increase self-confidence that students are able to excel in life. Andragogy views students as individuals with an independent self-concept. the teacher has a lot of experience which will be a rich source of learning. Teachers' readiness to learn is relevant to the problems they face. Learning oriented to meet their needs. The implications of participatory learning strategies are: (1) the learning atmosphere is adjusted to the characteristics and needs. The learning atmosphere encourages students to take initiative and be flexible. (2) Students are involved in determining learning needs and outcomes. (3) Learning activities involve students actively. (4) Learning evaluation uses more self-evaluation.
