This research was made based on the background of the problem "Is there a relationship between the role of the teacher in the learning process and the learning achievement of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 14 Kelurahan Sukasari Kota Tangerang in thematic subjects." This type of research uses qualitative research that is obtained from data collection and interviews with teacher or homeroom teacher. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 14 Tangerang which is located at Jalan Tegal Sari Raya No.79 Kel.Sukasari Kota Tangerang. Based on the research results obtained in the field, the role of the class teacher towards achieving students is the way of teaching on a whole, undifferentiated average. On the other hand, the class teacher also always guides students who do not understand in other learning. The class teacher also provides a solution for holding lessons for interested students. In the teaching and learning process, the teacher has a duty to encourage, guide, and provide learning facilities for students to achieve goals. The teacher has the responsibility to see everything that happens in the classroom to help the student development process. This is in line with Ahmad D Marimba (1989) Teachers are professionals, whose function is to plan and implement the learning process, assess learning outcomes, conduct guidance and training, and conduct research and community service, especially in education.
