Abstract

Item analysis is an activity that is needed to assess the quality of good items, so that they can be reused in the next period or if the items are not good, then revisions can be made, while for items that are not good, do not need to be reused. The material chosen is roman numerals in class IV. Researchers chose mathematics because mathematics is a compulsory subject that is taught from elementary/middle school students to high school/MA and even university. However most students consider mathematics a very difficult subject. This research is motivated by how a teacher formulates the right questions to be given to students. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research. The research subjects were the principal, the curriculum section, and the fourth grade teacher. The results of this study showed that the average difficulty level of the questions was 60% in the easy category. And the average discriminatory power of the questions is 50% in the very good category.
