Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what factors influence speaking skills at SDN Kosambi 06 Pagi. So that these factors can be used as a reference for further research. This type of qualitative research is the type used in this study. In data collection, researchers collected data through observation, interviews, and took some documentation, namely photos and sound recordings. Qualitative data analysis techniques will be carried out through the stages of selection, simplification, classification, focusing, linking, abstracting from the conclusions of the analysis results. The qualitative data analysis technique in this study used the analytical method of Milles and Huberman. There are three stages in this method, the first is data reduction, the second flow is data presentation, and the last is verification. The results of the interview revealed that there are 2 factors that can affect students' speaking skills, namely family factors and school factors. Family factors, in this factor students are usually trained by their parents at home. The second factor is the school factor, in this factor students are accustomed by the school or teacher to talk and communicate with other people. Improving language skills is very important, one of which is speaking skills.
