Abstract

This research was conducted to develop appropriate and appropriate learning designs for grade 5 elementary school students. The type of research used was development research with the Instructional Development Model (MPI). This research was conducted in Rajeg District, Tangerang Regency with three schools which were used as research sites, namely, SD Negeri Sukatani 6. This research was conducted in three stages, namely: The first stage in the MPI model is the identification stage which consists of three steps as follows: a. identify instructional needs and write general instructional goals; b. perform instructional analysis; and c. identify the behavior and initial characteristics of students. The second stage is the development stage which consists of four steps as follows: a. writing specific instructional goals; b. compile learning outcome assessment tools; c. Develop an institutional strategy; and D. developing instructional materials. The third stage, evaluating and revising which consists of one step, namely compiling a design and carrying out a formative evaluation which includes revising instructional materials. The result of this development research is the arrangement of effective teaching materials for grade 5 elementary school students in Mathematic.
