Pemanfaatn Media Whatsapp Group Masa Pandemi Covid-19 sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas IX.1 SMP Negeri 4 Mataram

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in social studies learning outcomes through the use of Whatsapp Group Media during the Covid-19 Pandemic for Class IX.1 students of SMP Negeri 4 Mataram in the 2020/2021 academic year. The subjects of this study were 31 students of class IX.1 of SMP Negeri 4 Mataram, consisting of 18 female students and 13 male students. The stages of this research include: (1) planning, (2) action implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection in each cycle. The results showed that the application of learning through WhatsApp Group media could improve the social studies learning outcomes of students in class IX.1 of SMP Negeri 4 Mataram. It can be seen from each cycle, students experience an increase in learning outcomes. The average value of students obtained, namely in the first cycle obtained an average value of 79.42; and in the second cycle of 83.81. Completeness of student learning before the action of 61.29% in the first cycle is 77.43% with incomplete criteria, the second cycle is 100% with complete criteria.
