Abstract
Public paradigm changes that happen quickly and new inurement occur in the midst of changing times require every individual to have 21st century skills. In the 21st century there are 4 skills that are often called 4Cs, one of them is critical thinking which is the main skill. Education is the most appropriate tool for presenting and accustoming 21st century skills to Indonesia's young generation. This research is a library research, analytical technique used is comparative analysis, which compares the object of research with the concept of comparison. This research resulted in a discussion about the 2013 curriculum design which is ideal in improving the ability of critical thinking, there are three most important points in improving the ability of critical thinking, namely 1). The main subjects, 2) varied learning models, 3) creative and highly dedicated educators.
