Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of the role-playing learning strategy whether it can improve student achievement in SKI learning outcomes in class VII MTs. Baiturahim News for the academic year 2021/2022. The population in this study were all MTs students. Baiturrahim Kabar Academic Year 2021/2022, by taking class VII as a sample. Research in this regard is also carried out through group design and experiments. The treatment was given only to the subjects in the experimental group for a certain period of time, after which the learning outcomes of the two groups were measured. The mean difference between the pre-test and post-test for each group was calculated, then the scores of this mean difference were compared to ascertain whether the experimental treatment given to the experimental group had caused a greater change in the control group. Analysis of the data used is the t-test or t-statistic. The t-statistic analysis technique is intended for differences in two separate populations. The data normality test technique is intended to test whether the scores in the changes studied have approached the normal distribution or not. Furthermore, the data that has been processed can be concluded. The results obtained are that in the teaching and learning process by using a role-playing strategy, students have played an active role, have good enthusiasm and get good achievements. Furthermore, in terms of the ability of educators to apply role-playing strategies in the learning process, where from the observations made, there are many important things that educators often forget in implementing role-playing strategies so that they do not function actively, namely educators pay less attention to the purpose of using role-playing at the same time. the learning process in the classroom takes place. The consequences are: students sometimes pay less attention to the message conveyed by the teacher and students often ignore the teacher's orders.
